Last year I could never get a clean pass out of the car. I pulled my hair out basically trying to figure out why. The car would pull hard but start missing and stuppering the more load that was on the engine. It would miss a little in 2nd and get worse in 3rd and 4th.

I Manged to sputter into a 9.94 last year. Soon to run better!!

I did leak down test on the old engine but never a compression test. When I pulled it all apart this is what I found.







The car would VDR ~900 before this happend!

The old engine was weisco hd pistons and crower rods.

The new engine is my spec GRP aluminum rods and 10.5:1 cp pistons.













Most of the setup is still the same. I had the turbo upgraded to the 66mm exhaust wheel. So its a billet 6766.

I'm also changing to a evo8 head and the stm 650 cams. Def excited to make some jam!

Len Ayala had a pretty fast one

There was another guy running a SOHC, white 1g, with yellow headlights. I forgot his .org name... Beemis? but I remember seeing a few pictures.

Jon from Slowmotion (before he sold the company) has 2 9 second neons... race car is still in progress. Makes me miss my boosted 1st gen.
