can you give a quick list of what you've done? I see you have no ABS, A/C and other things under the hood but what else did you do to get 500lbs off the car?

I love how the car looks like it has a stock interior/exterior. My personal opinion is you should put the wing on the car so it looks like a true factory Evo only because usually wingless Evo's tend to make me think they're fast but I don't know why... maybe because all the fast Evo shop cars are wingless?

Thanks Brad. I did the partial tuck while the motor was out.

I think you should keep it
I don't want to especially seeing yours almost done. But we're not sure we can afford an evo, a m3 and a track car build. And I love the m3 too much. I just need to make more money I guess.

What is the goal hp on your car? Are you taking it to SI for a final pull on the dyno?

If your spinning in 4th then you need fatter tires. I know I have only spun my tires once and it was in the rain.

Back when the car was making 630hp (mustang dyno trapping 146) it dead hooked in 2nd gear. The car is running 255/40/17 BF KDW's on the street. On the track is all grip too of course with the slicks lol.

Yeah i've done the ABS, A/C, tubular core support, stm drag brakes, sound deadning, firewall carpets, random misc metal brackets under interior panels, gutted rear doors (still have power locks and door panels, but windows do not go down), no emissions, aluminum exhaust. There's too much to list to pull up off the top of my head

I thought about putting a stock wing on it, but i'm so used to it not having one that it just looks weird to me haha. Probably would look good to others though!

Haha, I hear you on the money comment.

When it was making 630 on buschur's MD, it was about 700 in virtual dyno for comparison. I'm looking for about 780+ in virtual dyno which should be 150+ traps. I'm not sure if I'm going to strap it down there or not. My buddy Mike works there who owns a pretty wicked turbo M3, so we may do it just to see what it does. Honestly, I would even be happy with the same power as before.... it was so much fun! So any gains will be cool.

It made 498 last year on SI dyno when it was making 600 in virtual dyno. That was when it trapped 138 mph.

Cool video of my car launching at the 2012 dsm/evo shootout back on the stock motor. Aborted run after I shifted into 2nd as it broke up. Announcer got my state wrong, lol.

We got the idle and some other stuff done. Aside from the aggressive clutch, it drives close to a stock Evo

I weighed the car today while I was out driving it. I'm pretty happy. This is WITH me in the car in street mode. Full interior, full exhaust, street wheels, etc... The scale is accurate as I've weighed my stock Evo on it which was over 3400lbs with me in it.

I weigh 140 so that comes out to 2580. The car has a little under 1/4 tank of fuel. It still has all luxuries including factory sunroof minus A/C. I daily drive this to work a lot... No gutted race car business here lol. With the passenger seat out and rear seats, and the 15" rota slipstreams on that will be another 130lbs off the car

(Made myself some front bumper block-off plates, including FF turbo block off plate - great for daily drivers)

I need to get my car that light, I don't want it to be a gutted race car though either, as I still drive it on the street a decent amount, care to PM me with some tips on dropping some lbs?
