Bumping this up. How did this combo do on e85? How can I build a higher revving 2.3?

Thanks
Josh

We have been fighting electrical problems for a minute and haven't had a chance to throw some "E" in it. Finally have found a solution but awaiting a new engine harness. A certain shop from Orlando Florida whom had previously worked on the car did a number on the harness. Not going to name any names but he definitely has some funny YouTube vids from Regarding too much timing *hint hint*

Lol post up what I should search to find this shop you speak (or not speak) of.

im also wondering what was done to the block in order to make it rev higher than a normal 2.3, as im sure the extra rpms help a ton with that turbo. Whats different from just a regular 2.3?

Thanks

josh

My comment already got deleted once so I won't name the shop. But a combination of parts made it rev like it does. Mainly a billet crank.

So the 6766 failed on me. Was doing a check over and found that the turbo has some shaft play. Didn't even get the chance to take it down the 1/4 mile and put some times down. Pretty upset with the precision turbo filing with maybe 1k miles on it including dyno pulls.

Definitely going with a forced performance turbo next. Definitely going to boost it with a Super94

Also since it's been down and sitting in the garage been doing some work to it. Polished the upper inter cooler pipe, inter cooler end tanks, ac lines, pretty much whatever else I could polish. As well as added an ipad mount for the interior. Also put a carbine 6 point lower brace on, white line front sway bar, and widened out the front fenders so I can lower it more and have more room for fatter tires.

And here's a pic from a cruise.

Clean. I hear the journal bearing big precision turbos fail a lot. Go 6466 bb you will love life. The super 99 is a massive turbo I doubt you will see it's full potential revving less than 8500rpm.

Also pte is releasing a bb 6870 which is supposed to compete with super 94/99 you might want to wait for that.

It is a bb turbo. Honestly I won't run another precision turbo unless they send it for me to run. Their turbos are great and proven although I don't feel they're reliable. This is not the 1st time this turbo has failed either. I'll stick with FP. And with the 2.3 I'm not looking to push it to some ridiculous psi. Maybe 45max. On E it hits boost so fast and hard way before a 2.0 will. I'm not looking to cut an 8 second pass. I still have full interior, a system, and soon to have a baby seat.

Bugger to hear about the turbo, but sounds like a wicked upgrade underway! Be interesting to see how you find the Super94, hell of a large turbo for a street setup.... should be intense once it's running though. Let us know how you find it

Added a Buschur Racing Quick Release Harness Bar with Sparco 3" Harnesses as well as fire extinguisher just in case. After Smurfzillas car burned up I'm paranoid.
Also have been training my Co driver/navigator.

Damn that doesn't make me feel good about my turbo hearing about your failure. Did they not warranty it?

That's a big dog to ride shotgun lol.
