evane's Evo 8 Built Build

After a long time of being on this board I decided to make a build thread.

History of the car: I bought it 5 years ago and it was my daily driver. First setup was a ported Evo 9 turbo, Kelford 272s, E85 and other supporting mods Mellon Tuned at 415whp/430trq and ran a best of 11.62 @ 121.

After the stock turbo setup I stepped up to a Shearer Fab T3 turbo kit with Precision 6262 and supporting mods. Mellon tuned at 601whp/424trq and ran a best of 10.75 @ 135 spinning and letting off in first gear on worn out all seasons.

Now we're onto bigger and better things.

Here is my current mod list.

Time to flood this post with pictures. If anyone wants to see a picture of something let me know sure ill have a picture and would be glad to share it.

Bushwacker Trans with REM treated gears

Buschur Racing Stage 3 Cylinder Head

Buschur Racing 2.0

Exedy Triple HD

Timing components installed

Engine and Trans ready to drop in

Engine and trans in the car

Shearer Fab turbo kit installed with 6466

Buschur Racing Ported Intake Manifold and 65mm Throttle Body

Installed a illuminated switch for primary Walbro 255 fuel pump and installed a green LED that will illuminate when the Hobbs switch powers the secondary Walbro 450 fuel pump

I will definitely know when the second pump tuns on at night

Buschur Double Pumper. 705 LPH.

Buschur Racing Race FMIC

Since the Precision turbo is not water cooled I plugged the thermostat housing and cut off the coolant line off the return pipe.

Removed sound deadening on the floor along with rubber mat behind the dash

Also removed AC and firewall mat in the engine bay.

I think that's about it for now. I will be keeping this update and I hope you guys ask questions if you have any!

Ordered a few things. Speed Density hardware kit from AWD Motorsports comes with Omni 4-Bar MAP sensor and GM IAT sensor and a bung for the IAT sensor. Getting closer! Can't wait to see what SD is all about.
