S.Brewer's "Project Anti Rally Car" build. For the purists

Ok guys about 5 or 6 months ago I bought a nice looking 2006 apex silver MR SE. had a carbon oem style hood. Good bit of bolt ons. Tien springs. Painted black roof and mirrors. And black wheels. 71k miles and I got it for a steal. It is my 2nd evo. My first was a 768 awhp GG 06 MR also. Here is a pic of it in Chattanooga with my lexus when I went to go get it.

A couple months or so in I painted my wheels white to try that out. I ended up loving it. I had been fixing little issues with it up until this point. This was about the time I figured I needed some real wheels. So I started looking.

Then I figured it was time to **** some people off. And go a route I was thinking about going long before I ever owned and evo. Tires that don't fit the wheels they are on. And wheels that don't fit the car. I am about to take a perfectly good car and **** it all up and can't wait. The very car I am doing this to is never tracked, never pushed to its limits, and never driven hard. So isn't that a waste of what you people call a "rally car"? If not then I'm really gonna waste it. I found some 18x10.5/11" ccw wheels. Slapped 225/40-18 tires on all around. And have the lowest coil overs on the market in the box waiting to go on. (Broadway static).

This was a test fit before tires. Gonna camber the hell out of the rears. And pull the quarters. Can't wait to F this car all up!

I will try to keep this thread updated as much as possible. This one's for the purists.

I'm actually impressed the tires will hold the bead and keep air in them....

Correct. Scott tuned it and built the 5 speed that was swapped into it.

That's horrid...

However, that said, to each their own. At least you know you're ruining it!

And I'm oddly curious as to what it'll look like when you've cambered the **** out of the wheels.

Like I said in the other thread. Thankfully you are far away from friends, family, and myself.

I feel better knowing that none of them may be on the same road with this death trap.

The tune that is on this car is rock solid... honestly I feel that some people just don't want to look out of the box. That's fine tho. Cause I'm sick of blending in with a barely lowered, stock wheel, looks like every other evo out there, evo. This is all being done for me and nobody else. Main reason I am even documenting this is pretty much for people who don't like it to see. As I will be updating. And I daily the car. And it will be safe. It's completely reversible if I ever want to change anything or sell the car. And it will show that it's jot a death trap. I'm not making this build thread for my own pleasure. I want ALL the purists to see it.

I'm genuinely curious to see how it unfolds. I'm always open to new ideas, whether or not I agree with them.

Now keep the updates coming!

225s on 11"-wide wheels, eh? That's something I would only expect from the Spanish Inquisition.

Oh, man. Did I really just type that?

Oops.
