Hello Evo world! My name is Ray and I just picked up my very first Evo (very first Mitsubishi as well lol) a couple weeks ago. This car has actually been passed around by a couple forum members and I happened to stumble upon it while half-heartedly searching through Craigslist.

I've coming from mostly Hondas/Lexus though I JUST sold my 335i (still in the garage waiting to be picked up by the shipping company). The plan was to save the money and get an NSX but the fiance shut that down with the wedding around the corner . So with that dream gone, I was able to convince her to let me pick this car up lol.

I decided to use this post/thread as a 'diary' while I build the car.

Pictures of past projects/cars:

Had a couple turbo civics but then I finally saved enough for my first s2000

Sold the s2000 to finish college so I picked this EG up as a project

Sold the EG, bought a prelude and another Civic, got tired of it then went with an SC300

Then sold the white SC300 for a green 5spd SC300. Got bored and wanted another S2000 lol


Wanted to get into the VIP scene so I picked up a 95 LS400

Sold both the LS400 and the S2000 and bought an 07 Alpine White 335i

How I sold it



So finally, to the Evo. How I bought it sitting next to my daily; dipped Honda Element

And first mods: wrapped roof, baysonr vortex generator, and ebay do luck lip (fits surprisingly nice).

Dude nice find, I'm sure you will mod it tastefully like your other cars. I found it pretty funny that I have an Apex silver Evo 8 and my daily driver is my Element SC root beer color. If your wondering what the do luck style lip looks like painted I just put mine on, it replaced my beat up carbon lip. Here's the link.

LOL thanks man. I wish I had gotten an SC. I just did the SC console conversion on my 03, but the ebrake bracket is backordered from Honda so I have no ebrake for now. I actually just saw your looking around earlier and it def looks sweet!

 

looks like you have finally hit that sweet spot! What are your future plans for mods?

 

thanks. just planned on lowering and adding some wheels then little accessories here and there. might plasti dip it a chameleon/color changing color.

 

Blacked out the headlights and buffed the lenses:


Then needed moar low so the megan lowering springs and stock struts went out and cxracing coilovers went on:

Resprayed the calipers and put new brembo stickers on. Also got new bbs lm style wheels (18x9 +15 with 12mm spacers up front) on 245/40/18 tires and neochrome lugs:


Rolled all the fenders without a problem then on the last one (passenger front) it decides to crack/tear on me. Ended up welding it and repsraying it:


Got tired of not having aux in my car so got a new pioneer radio and switched out my mechanical vdo boost gauge for the new tanabe revel gauge:


How the car sits now:



Side skirt extensions, exhaust cap and airducts are next on the To Do list.
