UPDATES!

So I have been in the process of getting everything ready to hopefully start the car on Friday! It may not happen on Firday, but it for sure should be this weekend.

So far I have the motor, trans, tcase in. Turbo kit went on tonight. I have all my vacuum lines ran, some of the coolant lines ran, although I lost one of the ones that goes to the throttle body. I will have to see if I can find one.

Other than that. I still have to install my intercooler piping, finish installing the power steering crap, fuel lines, wiring my hobbs switch and other stuff I am sure. Its definitely getting closer though!

Onto some pics!

I went to a buddy of mine last weekend to have him weld in my baffle in the pan!

Motor in! Managed to get this in without chipping any paint lol I dropped the motor and trans in and then got the tcase in by going through the top. It went in super easy like that. I have gotten it out through the bottom and it was kind of a pita that way.

Turbo kit on! The ceramic coating from Justin is the perfect color. That is the tungsten color. I love it!

This is the vacuum lines finished on the intake. The left one on top is going to the bcs which I have mounted on the firewall and the right one goes straight to the bov.

This is the extent of all my vacuum lines. Everything is hooked up and installed here. All done with the push-to-connect fittings and line. I also mounted my two AEM senders on the frame rail there. Not sure if I like them there or not yet.

Lastly tonight, this is a small hanger I made that I am going to hang the harness through. It mounts under the intake manifold where the old support brace used to mount to. Holds the harness up out of the way!

Awesome progress! I was about to comment that you need to re-paint your valve cover, then I quickly realized that I was just seeing light reflecting off of it. haha

I just sprayed the trans with duwitholor cast coat aluminum. 4 coats of that and then 2 coats of the duplicolor clear. I sprayed the clear light, I didn't want it real shiny lol.

For prep, I cleaned it real well and scuffed lightly with a red scothbrite pad. I didn't get into every little space, but the majority.

For the most part I am. The car is running good. I had a couple hiccups with a stuck injector, but after Fic cleaned those up, its running like a champ. I have only driven it a few times, I have like 8 miles on it lol. I am going to Boostin on the 29th for a new tune. Hoping to get some more miles in before then.

No it was not. I still have not figured out what had happened on that motor. I have pretty much just said F it now lol.

Ill try and update the thread with some new pics. I have been super busy doing a buddies car and getting it ready for the shootout as well. Ive painted it, and helping put the new Curt Brown 2.3L in and a Full Race Twin scroll EFR setup on. Working our asses off to get it done by the shootout.

Here a a few pics after getting my new wheels on. I landed a sweet deal on a set of SBC rpf1s, which are about my most favorite wheel! These are normally sold in the 18x9.5+15 for our cars. This offset basically makes the rear impossible to be actually functional.....

I found these on ebay, brand new. 18x9.5+38 which is a known offset to fit our cars with a 20mm spacer up front, in the SBC! So I bought them while I could...

Still finishing up a few things, I need to adjust my new hobbs switch as its coming on super early when I tried to do a boost leak test, then a few cleanups with some wiring and its the waiting game till next wed when it goes to Boostin!

Just a couple cell phone shots around the yard..
