Great thread....but you probably have to change the foam out of those seats....I highly recommend it, since will be a dd.

Yeah I actually did the foam portion of the seats as well, so they're pretty clean. These seats won't actually be going back in the car. I have a set of IX seats lined up to take the place of these.

Wow, thanks for saving the Evo!
Do you think the wiring is rotted?

Anything that is foam I would never reuse. Mold can hide in places you could not imagine and it can be deadly. As far as the underneath, remove everything, many parts could be saved with some good old fashioned elbow grease. All bushings should be replaced. Any mechanical part can be disassembled, cleaned and then lubricated and put back together. Wiring harness may be your biggest issue but shopping at junk yards may help you find many ofnthe parts you will need. I would love taking on a project like that.

Best of luck and keep moving forward.

i agree with this, although its a good thing you're using other seats, they look decent though on the outside!

i would think that you would have removed the foam and everything, but you're brave man, least you can make everything mil-spec and it should last a while

too bad your not somewhere you can work on it and have to store it in the winter.. i know im real spoiled with 90 degree novembers here

I'm not really sure just yet. I'll be going through the wiring here soon testing it and cleaning it. I'm sure it would be easier to just replace it but I'd like to salvage as much as I can.

None of the fabric that was in the car at the time of the flood will be going back in, including the sound deading material in areas like inside center console even the intake duct for the blower motor. Screw all that mold and bacteria
