Daily Driven VIII Project
Went to pick up the 2 fenders and the bumper. Ended up picking up fenders, bumper, and every suspension arm for the EVO + 2 rear knuckles.

Yeap... All LCA's with whiteline bushing/bearings. Got a bit giddy and fit everything in, the bent bolt (vertically oriented one) is held in hand-tight, but everything else is fastened properly.

RIP to the RR the parts were from

Well apparently the parts departments at all the Mitsu dealerships in the Bay Area of CA are closed sundays. I was looking forward to buttoning up the LCA (since tie rod and end link can be done with the wheel on.) so I could move onto doing the other side's LCA.
Well since I had blocked off some time to work on the car, I started fitting the fender and loosely measuring how far off the bumper was. I won't know until the headlights are in, but it seems only a bit off.
Here's the original fitment. You can see that it lines up with the door-hole and the rad stay hole but is far off from the middle hole.

this is where I want it to be, depending on what the headlight/bumper mounts look like. It would make the 2nd hole align with the 3rd. Looks to be about 0.5-1" that will need to be moved on the rad support. Thankfully it's simply 1 layer of sheet metal. I may cut the rad support to make it easier to form/mold as I see fit.

Happy sunday guys, and I hope to be able to update this tomorrow with the car on the ground.

LCA, outter tie rod and sway bar end link came in the mail today. Since I had the pleasure of uninstalling, reinstalling and uninstalling again the LCA a few times now, buttoning it up took less than 30 minutes. The tie rod took 15 minutes because the idiot who shipped it cross-threaded the bolt.
I don't call him an idiot for cross-threading the bolt. I call him an idiot for cross-threading the bolt so severely simply to tidy up the packaging. Since the tie rod is a rotating joint, I couldn't grip the threads hard enough to un-crossthread it. I had to dremel it off, install the way it was and use a jack underneath it and rethread using the nut.

Bent LCA alongside my other LCA. I ended up using an OEM LCA because stock shock/spring is not gonna benefit from the whiteline setup. I guess I'll hold onto the entire set of suspension arms until I get a second EVO or if I come across good coilovers.

The car is now sitting on the ground nicely. Hopefully I will get the CPS in a few days and drive the car for the first time.

Headlights got delayed 2 days, they were supposed to arrive yesterday but didn't (I was waiting like a dog by the door the entire day). CPS is in and it's almost ready to start, but I'll be cutting the crushed LICP first and trying to reshape it into a useable form to confirm the engine parts.
It also looks like the transmission's been worked on in May this year by AAMCO. Hoping it's a rebuild with warranty lol

Sorry for disappearing guys, been interviewing for a few jobs and studying a few things so I haven't gotten around to things.
I got the left-to-right measurements right (within reason), however the front driver's corner of the rad support got pushed in about an inch. Fortunately I have a gigantic 5' tilling spear to pry the rad support about an inch forward that'll get it where I want.

Mounting holes align fine, and even the bumper's not too far off.
