looking good so far. Be careful that the end of the subframe isn't twisted in causing that upper rad/fender support to be pushed upwards.

Sorry guys, went MIA and haven't made any progress on the EVO (applying to a few technical schools). I won't disclose the exact sale price, but I can say that I've spent less than 5k thus far in total.

In regards to subframe/frame/rad support damage, it's level on the bottom, the rad support was bent by impact on the fender. I used a 30lb iron spear/stake I had laying around to pull the rad support forward and a scissor jack to get appropriate height. I got the headlight, fender and hood aligned. The bumper was where I left off (which would require adjustment from headlight/fender/hood as well).

did the same exact thing to my evo when i picked it up
passneger side however but new bumper cover new headlight new hood
mine was totaled as well
luckly didnt have any bent suspension parts but the front radiator support came out
and i reinstalled a new one painted that one
new radiator
new bumper supports
new bumper

it was a fun process and i got super lucky and everything lined up great after re welding the radiator support back in again

took me about 6 months and a very unhappy wife but she s on the road and has been a great dd for almost 2 years now

rock on bud youll be pumped when everything comes together and you have a street legal rocket ship you brought back to life

OP, I would highly recommend paying your local body shop to for what is called "tie down and measure." (It shouldn't cost you more than an hour's worth of labor - probably closer to a half an hour.) With a front end hit that totaled the car, there's a good chance that there might be more damage to the chassis than the minor damage to that rad support. The whole front left side of the car might need to be pulled slightly on the unibody machine to get everything back to square and true.

To be very honest, I don't care that much about the chassis measurements.

I'm not sure if you've KBB'd a 200k+ miles car from 2003 recently, it doesn't take much to total it. If steering geometry is grossly off after alignment, I'll have at it but since the subframe/LCA mounts are smooth(relatively), I'm not worried.

Evo 8 project

what did you decide to do on the kinked frame rail? did you replace it, or did you get it pulled?
