Mr. N's Evo VIII

Hi,

My name is Nick, I live in Belgium and I'm 25 years old.

I'm already following the forum for some time but didn't posted anything on here so here it goes... The story of my Evo VIII.

It all started about 2 years ago... I was searching for a new car and I had a few points it should have: RHD (UK or Japan import), Turbo and AWD. Started looking at scooby's, GTR's but then I saw the evo... Searched for nights and nights on the internet, I saw the potential it had so I lost my heart to them. After searching for a few weeks I found one, UK import, 45k miles, full service history and for a decent price, went to take a look and 2 weeks later it was mine.

I ain’t gonna post all the pics from the beginning till now, but I’ll post some of last weekend.

The spec list:

*Interior:

-QSP seatbelts
-Electricity cut-off switch
-Varta small battery in trunk
-Electric windows + locks removed in rear doors
-Carbon rear door panels

*Exterior:

-Evo IX frontlights
-Varis carbon airducts
-ACW Motorsport Plastics lexan windows (Rear)
-Vortex generator
-Rexpeed Type-C carbon trunk spoiler

*Engine:

-HKS Superflow Reloaded filter
-Race exhaust manifold
-3" HKS downpipe
-2,5" catback exhaust + testpipe
-Modded stock muffler
-Go Fast Bits Response TMS blow-off valve
-Go Fast Bits G-Force V2 boostcontroller
-Samco coolant hoses
-Samco vacuum hoses
-Alu cam sensor shield
-Intercoolerspray system removed
-A/C system removed

*Suspension:

-HSD Monopro coilovers

*Rims & tyres:

-Enkei RPF1 17x8,5 ET30 Yokohama V105 235/40/17

Let me know what you think of it.

Nick

I got them from a friend in Ireland, I don't know where he found them.

I already found similar ones on www.rallyshop.it

Looking pretty good so far, those door panels are pretty damn cool, and the RPF1's always look good on the Evo. If you start digging into the cylinder head we might have a few suggestions

Have fun with the car!

Almost forgot this.. Weighed the car saturday this is what came out...

1380 kg = 3042 lbs (198lbs less than stock, the manual says 1470 kg = 3240 lbs)

Full tank and some stuff still in it but offcourse we can lose a bit more weight...

Mounted a invidia elbow last saturday then we saw there was a small crack in the hotside of the turbo... I already had a manifold so a full turbo kit wasn't really an option. so I went for an FP black...

1 it's stock frame
2 a friend of me has it on its 2.3 and he has 607hp, that's around what I wanna have when I build my engine.

Gonna see what the stock block can hold for now...

And in between I also had Toyo R888 mounted on the enkei's 245/40/18. Had to put the rear suspension a bit harder or they rubbed sometimes.
