UPDATE
MORE PROBLEMS!!!!!!
Went to finish cam install got the kelfords in and went to spin the motor slightly to get the piston back at TDC since
it had moved just a bit during the cam install.
As I get the piston close to TDC I feel a slight bind......so I look in the exhuast port #1 and sure enough the piston is hitting my valve
I was told Kelfords fit with the stock bottom end
Only things it could be if the kelfords are not wrong are..........
1.Machine work to head prior to me buying...I certainly wasn't informed about it.
2. Longer valves were installed prior to purchase (poor mans cam)
3. #1rod has stretched so far it's causing clearance issues (I really hope that's not it)
So until I figure out what to do
Build progress has halted a bit
Also the timing kit......
It said it was a complete kit....
What they left out was a new tensioner!!!!!!!!
If I can't get it sorted by the end of next week........we'll have a new addition to the classified
More to come...............(maybe)

Not sure about the cams though, that is weird
I will be doing Kelford 272s so they definitely will fit, but I am not sure what the issue is with your setup
Haha thanks!
I got the gates tensioner yesterday from Nappa but it does me no good until I figure out the clearence issue
I might just put the stock ones in to get her going and selling these cams
But I feel that is probably the lamest idea by far since ill be driving an FF 6262 with no cams and making weak hp
Kelfords are in! Pulled the head off clayed it and it turns out the issue was just me being overly cautions
Sorry for the no pics but I was very frustrated and determined to figure out this problem so I left my phone inside and plowed away for 14hrs total.
Only good bit of news is my local auto parts store had every gasket I needed to get me going again
I did skimp on having the head resurfaced because there were no machine dogs open yesterday and I was determined. I have the saftey of a spare motor and head that I can have ready to drop in about two weeks so im not stressed
And got 99% of the fuel system in
I just need to connect post tank filter to feed
Here are some of the underside and return fitting to tank
I am using 0 factory fuel line
I still have to properly secure the return connection below but you get the idea
I also finished up my double pump system today
Also on a semi related note
I can't stand crimp connections
I do not feel that they are safe in any way
I solder all connections and on any fuel, ecu, or TC system
Here's a pic of the way I did the ground
More to come
Tomorrow
Valve cover goes on
Turbo goes back on
New OFH feed install
Then fluids and fire!

Nice! How is the fitment on the Sheepey Kit? I read a few reviews of people having issues.
I also finished my timing tonight Good luck with the rest. Don't rush and make mistakes

Congrats on the timing job.....it's pretty easy haha I thought it'd be like other cars I've worked on that insist upon making that a difficult task.
Also
My Sheepey kit fit great! Only thing I would change now on that kit is .....
I should have bought the twin scroll manifold. But that's not Alex's fault.
