2004 rs gt30 build with video
so I picked up the car a year ago pretty much stock. Just under 100k miles for 10k. could not pass it up. Wanted to keep it on the stock turbo but that didnt last.
Started obtaining parts and the project rolled into a larger one.

Map manifold
custom o2 housing with hood exit
Garett gt3076r ball bearing turbo
Rebuilt head with beehive kit
HKS 272 cams
STM balance shaft delete
ARP headstuds
Cometic Headgasket
Gate timing belt
injen intercooler piping
VRSF front mount intercooler
1000cc ID injectors
ACT street clutch
Walbro 255 fuel pump (switching to e85)
she is getting dropped off to be tuned tomorrow Looking to make anything over 400hp
More to come after the tune and dyno! exterior will be the next part of the project
So after trying to get another shop to tune it they packed up and moved out over night. more good luck with the tune! but i was able to find a new tuner and is being remote tuned. Decided to change the wastegate out for a Tial 38mm and switched over to speed density. here are some more progress pictures.


ended up easier to pull everything out to fab the wastegate up.

Update time! i recently got a really good offer to trade my gt30 for my old ported 9 with a good amount of cash on top. I took the deal and we swapped turbos. A week later i drove up to get tuned by Christian at Pure Drive Performance and all i can say is wow. Nicest tuner i have ever meet. we spent hours dialing in the car and it drives absolutely perfect. It pulls hard and stays strong all the way through the gear. I love the car and truly enjoy driving it again. I highly recommend using him.
Now that it is tuned i will be focusing on the interior and some exterior work along with building a backup motor.

Update on the car. Tuner had the car for a week while is was on vacation. it didnt get touched till i got back in town and only has a drive tune on it. Have called the tuner everyday and left a message for about a week with no calls back. Went to shop and was brushed off and told i will be called to set up a time for next week. been 3 days since then and im looking into another shop to do the tune. needless to say the first shop has lost all future business from me.

That's too bad man, unfortunately same thing happened to me earlier this year. I see your in CO as well. That shop looks familiar, RMR? What other shops are you looking at for tuning?
RMR did all the work on the car and they did an awesome job. can't describe how happy I am with them. the shop that is tuning has had some negative issues in the past and some good ones, depending on how my issues are resolved with them will determine if I release their name
New update! after a month wait the car made it to the dyno. the car made 402hp and 375tq but kept popping the intercooler pipe, going to have a new one fabbed up and then have the tuned finished.
should have went there have had nothing but headache from the tuner i used. Car stalls when i turn the ac on and also from starting from a stopped idle or low turn. going to have someone else finish the tune once the intercooler pipe is fixed
Nice build so far. I hope you get the issues resolved! Keep us posted on how the new tune goes.
