Recently i picked up a 2003 evo. the last owner said it was a 2.4l but had no proof and didn't really know much about the car. so i went and picked it up not knowing what it had in it or anything but was a good deal either way. i got it home did a compression test and all cylinders were within 2 psi and i also checked the stroke and it turned out to be a real built 2.4l

[ATTACH]246175[/ATTACa few days later i started cleaning up the engine bay wrapping a few things also got a new set of wheels. it needs a tune now but I'm just dialing the last few things in before going to the tuning shop and should come back with around 500hp

 

depending on how much you paid, looks like you got a pretty good deal, how many miles were on it, any interior picks? I know it's a 2003 so I could only imagine how it might looks.

 

The body is in really good shape it looks good. No rust at all it has 97,000 miles on the body and 30k on motor apparently no full interior pics yet I'll take some soon

 

damm thats awesom, it's crazy how many evo's I've seen that are like mine, garage kept, brembos still the same original paint, then I'll meet a service member who just bought an evo, it's been outside all its life, the interior smells like a Mcdonalds bag, it's such a shame. Glad you got one of the good ones brother, enjoy. waiting to see what numbers you put up after the tune
