Lol yeah that one does suck. And rust of course is a different story. My front LCAs were cut off sadly.
But after doing a bunch of suspension bushings on my father's XK8 which involved removing literally everything, bc Jaguar, I stand by what I said, Evo suspension is cake.
Moral of the story is buy the press that way you can help your father do bushings on his car too.

^ I was thinking the same thing...I went to buy their 20ton unit but they were out of stock and ended up with the 12ton for like $100. I've done so many bushings at this point for my car friends vehicles as well as family. Was even able to free up a seized axle from the hub. I couldnt imagine not having a press now as it can be a very useful tool to have.
I can understand not wanting to go through the effort of actually pressing them out but with the right dies (impact sockets, ball joint tools spare pipe and whatever else you have laying around) the process is pretty simple. Sometimes setup take a little bit and other times you're pressing out and pressing in new bushings in under a minute per.
Of course you're welcome to spend your money however you feel appropriate but it seems like you're a pretty hands on guy so I too was surprised to read that.
Nonetheless, keep up the good work!

Couldn't agree with you more. A shop press is a tool to have when you are in a situation where nothing else will do. I picked one up after finding myself stranded on projects and overpaying shops to have bushings pressed out. Sometimes those shops will break the part that the bushing is in. None of my car friends wanted to buy one, so I choose to be "that guy."

Finally got back working on the car. Removed the rear subframe, rear diff and supports. I have to get my rear diff out to Dan Buschur for a refresh. Clean up all the lines and Then order all new bolts. Hope to get it all re installed by August. The entire car unfortunately will not be done this year.
