Evo IX thrashing

Hey all.

Hope you like my build. Won't really be anything crazy. But it does love a good thrashing 😛

Little back ground. I use to have a 33 GTR. Had 340kw was on e85 had all the bolt ons.

So the evo is a '06 with 67xxxkm full log book and receipts.

Anyway, things that came with the car
Clutch Unknown brand
Braided brake lines
Db5000/db4000 rotors
Whiteline sway bars
Whiteline steering rack bushes
4 point harness points
A really old and out of date fire extinguisher
Eboost2
3"exhaust (need to do dump)
Fuel pump

I spent some time cleaning it up. Looked like the car lived under a tree for the past 5years. All the water channels were gummed up with ****.

Oh and the brake pads almost fell out of it on the way back from purchasing. Photos to come.

I put intima sr's in the front ss in the rear.
Changed oil and filter
About to do brake fluid for track day
Installed nice oem weather shields.

Things that will happen to the car in the future, new wheels, darker tint, when I can afford it - injectors e85 Power! Lol

Other than all that. The car drives great. Much different to a skyline.

Put on some weathershields. OEM ofcoarse. They are actually very cheap. $100 for the set from Mitsubishi.

A before and after with weathershields and coilovers.

For $300 a tyre I am quite happy.

I might do gearbox and rear diff oil before hand depending on time.

All fluids are done. Ayc can ead. That fill bolt sucks hard.

I also drilled a hole in a ashtray and propped the lid in such a way that the gauge sits perfectly.

Yes it is held together by double sided tape and hopes and dreams. Happy to report that it has lasted 2 track days 1 motorkhana and a drag day. So I recommend doing this!

I'm pretty happy with fitment. I didn't want to roll the guards so I opted for 18x9 +35. By the looks of it, it seems like you could squeeze a 265 tyre in there without it fouling on the suspension or guards.

Went to drags, much dissapoint.

My heavy (whoknowswhat) clutch can't even handle a launch. Clutch slip for days.

So I ordered a NPC ceramic button.

Received my rexpeed vortex generator in oem black. It's meant to look like the blackish part in the 9 bar. But it's a fair bit darker. Looks good still. Fitment is tip top.

Also, tried to undo a CV on another evo and bent my breaker bar. Don't buy Stanley. Even if I did have a 1.2 meter pole on the end of it haha.

Took 4 nights and 2 good friends.

Clutch was very race car. But it's started to calm down with nearly 1,500 k's on it. Loves a good launch though.

Sooooo.... the car is going in for a flex tune in November with Benny.

I want to squeeze everything I can out of this turbo so here's my run down of things that will be on it before tuning.

Any recommendations or feedback is appreciated 😀

Stock 9 turbo
Stock fmic
Stock airbox
GSC S2 (+springs and retainers)
Invidia dump plus MRT 3" exhaust
DW300 fuel pump
ID1300 injectors
Mafless kit

Will probably do a run with a pod filter and see how restrictive the airbox is on my setup. Hopefully I can continue to run it.

Went to Motorkhana on saturday.

Did some skids, blew intercooler pipe off, fixed it and did some more skids.
