Hood vent project is wrapping up. Maybe I will list these on Etsy through my wife's store if there is interest.

Track event....
SST ran at 160F... I think the +7% increased clamping (from tranny flash) decreased slip and therefore heat!
Oil did hit 280F at peak, but apparently until you kiss 300F in an Evo X, its all good.
Tires are brand spanking new RE-71RS of size 265/35/18.
Ohlins dialed to full track settings.
-3 deg timing and -3 psi track tune.
AYC off/off.

+220lb passenger - My brother! Providing commentary! lol

Looks great! I would buy a set if you ever produce a small batch.

So that was the plan, and I sold one set to a fellow EVO nut on the forum here.
But the time it takes to make is significant, and the materials aren't cheap either.
I would have to ask $175 a set, and the materials are both UV and OIL proof....
Not sure if that sounds nuts or not...

This track is so different. Seems like you are right in the middle of a forest lol. The tracks I go to are either desserts or green grass. Mud or tire wall if you go off.

I can’t speak for how much profit you think is good for you but I’d pay just a little under that.

The WICKED WHITE MR is still alive! Before even taking her out of the garage, my son and I laser measured and adjusted each Ohlins R/T coilover. Mind the GAP!
The most offensive corner (drivers front) needed to drop 14mm. We used rear passenger as ZERO as that gap looked perfect and made everything match that.
We also swapped on white light weight Konig wheels with Pirelli P Zero tires (220 TW) so I am not just eating up the RE71-RS tires driving around. Those tires were SICK on the track, and I want to use them on the track exclusively. This might be the year of 650hp, if I can stomach the downtime..

Great thread man.

I just bought an MR a few months ago and it was pretty well setup. I've got a K swapped track car. This was supposed to be a weekend warrior but it's so good on track...

I'm working on cooling. I hit 260f in 40f ambient this weekend a few laps in. Dodson clutches, damper, sump etc.... Ducted(both in and out) AMS cooler is all I have. And like the HKS testing goes it doesn't seem to do anything. Found a cheap new ssp kit I'm going to try. Great to read through your struggles though.

I'd be interested in those vents as well man.

I miss forums. Glad you are still updating this. Car I bought has a map manifold and stock frame 3076r. Pretty similar.

Which liquid hit 260F? In 40F ambient that is a bit impressive! If you mean the SST fluid, it takes substantial additional cooling to handle the track. For me; that was THREE coolers.
