I took the car to an import face off event to work on getting it dialed in and entered the FIS class.
Qualifier 1: Missed due to long tech line Qualifier 2: 1st pass 10.2@140 (Q1) Round 1: Bye run Round 2: 2nd pass 9.7@134 (broke up - plug gap too big for added boost) Round 3: Bye run Round 4: 3rd pass 9.4@144 (1st place win)
Next outing I hoping to get 1-2 more tenths off the 60' and then turn it up a bit.
Raced the car at a couple more events and did end up with a new personal best. Unfortunately it spun pretty bad, the pass prior was a mid 1.4 and it couldn't handle the additional power off line.
Making some more changes in the off season including cams, tires, turbo kit, fuel system, roll cage, etc... A PTE 7285 will find it's way on next year to get the car in the required min ET range for the super street class at world cup finals.
Put in my other long block in preparation for more power. It's a 2.0L with R&R aluminum rods and Diamond 10.0:1 pistons. I was going to wait until mid summer to do this but oh well.
New manifold - Morrison Fabrications T4 divided top mount. They make really nice evo/dsm exhaust manifolds.
Going to be racing the first half of the year with my 6270 in IFO events. The 7285 will find its way on to see how deep in the 8s I can get to pre-register at world cup finals.
