so its been a long time since the last update ! and a few things have been added.

First off - I installed 1 single Recaro Pole Position using the Recaro brackets on the stock Evo 5 seat rails. It did all bolt up perfectly, however after a number of test drives, I found the seat was too high, so I ordered Kansai service lowered seat rail (x2). Still waiting for them to arrive (3 months so far). I'll probably buy a second Pole Position then.

Next on the list - I wanted to replace the floor matts. OEM Evo 5 ones in good condition, seemed next to impossible to get. So I went with what I felt was the next best thing and back to Kansai service I went for a new set front and rear, black with red stiching (matches the nardi and the gear stick gaitor).

Next I spotted a pair of original Ganadors for sale in scotia white on ebay. I snapped them up quick fast. They are not perfect, and I replaced all the weather stripping on them, they also need a proper machine polish or respray at some stage. However I am more than happy with how they look currently, as the car itself isn't paint perfect imho.

I also added a radiator shroud by Laile Beatrush

Finally as the regional restrictions have lifted, I had some work carried out on the Evo, including a nice fast road alignment - I've been able to travel a bit further too ! so I headed with a friend to Mondello race track, and then later for a trip around the Wicklow mountains.

so time to update ! car is off the road since its last track day in September - so I'm back driving the GTI till April or so, when the Evo will return

During the last few months I added some small bits.

I purchased a Coil on Plug setup from the US of A - and this was a super pain for me and the seller to get sorted out, but super big thanks to SpoolinUP and no thanks at all to AnPost who sent the package around the world twice ! or at least it fel that way.

All installed with ease - but I've not gotten a chance to drive the car in anger yet !

Last purchase was some more Monster sport garnish this also had a pain in getting to Ireland from Japan, but made it a little bit after the COP was installed. I also switched out a few bolts too.

So after a number of trackdays and 2 oil changes. I reckon its time to buy a new radiator and hoses ! so thats next on the cards for 2022.

Its been awhile since I've updated this thread. I'd been waiting on parts and then waiting for a spot to open up to get the work done.

New belts
Front pads
All fluids changed
Hks SQV4 bov - might remove though but I prefer the less cluttered look of the Blitz.
New magnesium Evo 8 rocker - this was to replace the Evo 5 one simply because its magnesium and I thought wow thats a cool touch
New clear cam cover because now you can actually see the belts !
More shiney bolts - like a magpie I continue to replace bits here and there.
