I’m looking at intercoolers , really the only options are
sheepy,stm,ETS
I found this APG intercooler on maperformance , it’s around $250 cheaper .
it is a lot cheaper but I’m already wasting 500 I wouldn’t want it to be a mistake when I should have just dropped 200 more for a guaranteed quality piece .
If anyone recommends please let me know

 

Never heard of or used that brand. I personally have the STM wide tank on my 9 and the fit was great. Can't really comment too much on performance gain bc it replaced another good piece that just had some pin holes forming in the cast end tanks but it hasn't performed any worse.

 

I've never heard of them but, I wouldn't cheap out on an intercooler. You might run into fitment, piping, or leaking core issues. Could cost you more in the long run.

 

Do you have an 8/9 or a 10? There are plenty of additional brands.

 

why are those your only options? if you want quality go with something Japanese although STM is great as mentioned earlier but id personally go towards something like greddy ,blitz or hks if you have the budget for it.

 

Stick to what works. If you want proven track record its garrett cores! STM or Buschurs make fantastic intercoolers.

 

Where do you find those I personally can’t find them atleast not from a website that looks convincing enough

 

8/9 and these are the only ones that I see everyone running , I want something more Japanese but I can’t find anything

 

If you're staying stock block (~500hp max) I think the Greddy intercooler + piping kit is the best value. Plazmaman and PWR make nice tube and fin intercoolers for all power levels.

 

I got a sheepy intercooler that I can sell. Its in good condition but will only fit an 8 bumper.

 

Just wondering the thought process on this? Why would you want to pay double the price for a Japanese piece that doesn't perform as well as a cheaper STM Or Buschur Core?
