Ive sold countless salvage and r-titled evos on here, and have went through the same with these guys. Too bad they dont know that lightly damaged/none damaged evos are always found on auctions with salvage titles, because the owners just dont want them anymore or cant afford them, and insurance fraud in the USA is common.

I was going to get a 05 8RS the other day, it was a recovered theft with no title but a bill of sale. Clean, just a recovered theft and no title..
sold for 9700.. with 80k miles..

These cars go for more on auctions than they do here.

Dont listen to these morons.
I own/operate a salvage shop.
Thank you!

True Got the car for 11k. Car barely made it home the clutch was so baddd. The clutch literally got to the point where it wouldn't move and you call that perfect shape? wow
But car had serious issues that needed attention such as
Bad tune. Slipping clutch and grinding trans. also intake cam was 2 degrees off.

You never shipped wheels and I couldn't drive my car with out them
If you wanted wheels you should have switched them before I picked up car in ny.

Problems were all address:
Car is now protuned by Vr speed factory zero knock 150$
Has a newer trans from 04 evo 8 850$
Also Had car put back in time. Along with new Headgasket, Crower titanium valve springs and arp head studs. 1,300$
all fluids changed diaqueens
all maintenence is up to date.

Car runs great now. No issues

This isn't true at all. A salvage or R-title Evo is NOT worth the same as a clean one. Simply from the little brand on the title that reads R or S. If its fixed right, r-title cars are a way for people who normally couldent afford a certain type of car, get a certain car. For example when I bought my Laguna Seca Blue E46 M3. The car had an R-title. I bought it THOUSANDS less than it would have been if it had a clean title, and sold it THOUSANDS less than it would have been worth with a clean title. Some Evos can be found with r and s titles that are lightly damaged, but they are damaged. Case closed period. Buying a recontructed car is taking a gamble, but either way they are NOT worth the same money as a clean car with no history.
