DTM Turbo Kit

It pains me to do this, but I have -11 points on my license, am broke and have car bills to pay, and am trying to go back towards stock so I can DD my car to school without worrying about it so much.

This kit was fabbed by me, Nick, and Greg in January of 2008. It has been on my car since then but has only racked up < 3000 miles on the road. It was always garaged and it is obvious when you see the condition.

The kit comes with the following.

SS Equal Length Manifold
Precision 6152RE Turbo
Tial 44mm WG and SS dump tube
3" SS Downpipe (small 2.5" section to clear AC)
All oil/coolant lines
SS LICP
SS Intake
All necessary hardware

The kit made 420 whp at 25 psi on my stock motor, head, 93 octane, just bolts ons and 280 cams. This was on DTM's mustang dyno.

Here is the dyno chart. I wish I had one from the stroker. This is IMO the perfect street turbo. Not quite 35R but will definitely make more power than a 50 trim or FP Red or whatever.

vs. my 50 trim. Note the spool up is the same because this manifold is BADASS. Top end...

Look at the quality. It's throughout the kit.

Here is a picture I took TODAY!

Since this kit is MINT, and they retail for over $3500 + however long it takes to get one built these days with all the demand DTM has for work, I think the price of

$2400 is a steal. I am looking to go back to stock so anything you may have (stock manifold, turbo, DP) will take off the price. We can negotiate this. PM Me with interest or questions.

Very nice kit. I am currently in the market for a 50 trim kit, with a max. set budget (by the wife), which is just under your asking price, depending on how negotiable this is, pm me and we may work something out. Thanks

If this turbo was fitted to a 2.3 where should it hit full boost in rev range?

Looks like your 50 trim was a pretty late spooler unless it was making 27+psi.

Overall decent looking kit though, but you might want to include pictures of the downpipe and such.

Yeah it was 30 psi on that kit, only 25 psi on the 61mm. I will get some pics of the underside of the kit, the car is super low so I'll have to jack it up.

I have it on a 2.3 right now. The dump tube opens around 3500 rpm, which means 14 psi. I would say full boost would be right before/at 4000 rpm if going WOT on the dyno, and on the street the response is pretty much instant but we all know you don't start racing or doing a fun pull at 2500 rpm. If you hit it anywhere after 3500 the response is within 500-750 rpm. Very quick spool up.

So it will build boost at 3.5k and be on fill boost at 4k? Is there any pull from yoy stroker below 3.5k at the minute?

I haven't gone WOT below 3.5k on the street, on the dyno where the pulls start at 2500 there is 14 psi by 3500 rpm and 23 psi which is what I am currently running by 4k. When I go WOT on the street I start around 3500 or so and hit it and the spool up is very fast. I have only done 4 or 5 pulls with the 2.3 with this turbo kit so I don't remember exactly how many RPM but after 3.5k if you go WOT you will be moving almost instantly. The turbo has a .63 hotside and .60 compressor so combined with a good manifold, 2.3, head, and cams, it is stock-turbo like.
