FS: BRAND NEW 4B11T Short block - Darton sleeved
All you X owners out there, have I got a deal for you! Well, OK, this isn't going to be fore everyone and really, this is for one very special individual. Who that is? I don't know, you have to tell me!
I have on hand all the components for a fantastic build that will hold gobs of power. The 4B11T has proven to be a fantastic power plant but as in anything, there is ALWAYS room for improvement! I'm going to let the pictures do the talking first and then I'll fill in what the pictures couldn't tell!
This was a brand new short block purchased directly from Mitsubishi. It has NEVER been in a car. Once the short block was received, it was sent to Jim @ Justice Racing for the machine work. The block had Darton ductile iron sleeves installed and all the machining was done by Jim himself.
The rotating assembly is compromised of some excellent components. The crank is the OEM stocker that came out of this brand new short block. The rods and pistons have been upgraded to some of the best on the market. CP forged pistons at a 9:1 compression ratio spec'd out by Jim himself were purchased along with Manley Turbo Tuff rods. I've used CP pistons to great success in other builds and the Turbo Tuff rods are some of the strongest on the market!
Jim really spent his time when he did the machining to this block. As you can tell, all the bearings have been meticulously inspected for clearances by him. Each bearing is numbered for it's exact position in the engine so that the clearances are spot on.
This is an unassembled short block. All the components are here to build someone one bad *** bottom end. This is basically very similar to AMS Performance's Stage 2 short block that they sell for $5,300 with a $3,220 core fee on top of that! ARP main studs have been purchased and the block as had them installed at a machine shop and the block has then been line honed to bring the mains back into spec w/ the studs installed.
Pricing is as follows:
Purchased as is (non assembled) with no core being returned: $6,395.00
Purchased as is (non assembled) with GOOD core being returned: $4,695.00
Add $250 if you want me to assemble it for you.
My loss is your gain. Taking a hefty cut versus what was spent but I no longer have any need for this as I do not have the car it was going to go into anymore.
