Has only 500 miles, which included the professional break-in on an AMS dyno. The compression test was done to my current engine at TopSpeed and since it passed, I wasn't going to replace it with this AMS 2.4L stroker one.

nothing wrong if it was his engine. In fact I'd feel 100% confident buying the engine had I known it was his and never used after him.

Let me ask this.. Did the engine ship from a shop called Fall Line? If so that's his engine.
