updated list.

Only need 4 more to get this going.

I was surprised at first that this was not filling up so quickly. Then I thought of the type of modification this is. It's an "out of sight, out of mind thing"

Because when you over-tax your alternator, it doesn't blow immediately like a fuse, people just live with it till the alternator goes. Once it's gone THEN they go get another alternator.

Or, when the lights start to dim, they go out and buy a band-aid and put a larger/second battery on the system or increase the capacitor size. A HO alternator is the correct fix, but it's not a bling fix. you can't see it, so it typically gets neglected. it's kind of like subframe connectors. Everyone buys the strut bars because they are seen and easy to install, yet few people buy the chassis reinforcements UNDER the car, where they do far more good for the chassis but few people get to see them.

I know for a fact, that once we get enough people, and I close this group buy, for the next year, I will get PMs/new posts on here saying "can I still get in on this?" but once it's done, it's done.

Hey Tempe, if guys with base Lancer or Ralliart want to join in, can Dominick make one for those cars and would those qualify for the group buy? The Evo alternator is different than those cars, but if he can do those other cars we may be able to get a few more guys.

This group buy is only for the Lancer Evolution model alternator.

I do not know if this will fit any other model (with or without modifications). It is up to you, the buyer, to ensure fitment on other models.

Derek, PM replied to.

I am MASSIVELY sick people... I may be a bit slower to respond to than I have been in the past. People have been asking me about fusing this alternator wire, While it's not commonly done, I do agree that it's a smart thing to do. If you are making your own alternator wire, you can do a search for "ANL 200a fuse" or "ANL fuse holder" on google and find an appropriate fuse. Typically if you buy them through online suppliers, you can get the two for $5-$10. They are usually $20-$30 through retail locations. If you want me to make the wire fused for you, I will have to charge the retail price so that I can get these quickly and locally. Once I feel better, I will go to some shops and find out how much I can get them for.
