I've decided that I'm going to be tracking my car and I want to use some of this money for go-fast parts, I need to keep weight down so need to get some of this stuff out of the car and I'm going to be adding some gauges to my car to monitor performance and I'm mounting them where the stereo goes (Gruppe-S has a 3 gauge panel for this). I'll just keep things simple and put a regular single DIN stereo in the lower cubby. I'll probably just go back to stock speakers or maybe something that isn't that expensive, but still sounds nice.

I'm still on the fence about the same thing, I have a Gruppe-S 3 guage panel right now, just can't commit ti putting the guages in instead of stereo.

I can't believe you are taking it apart Adam, this is by far the sweetest audio setup i have heard on an evo in person... i'd buy this gear myself in a heartbeat if i had the money to spare.
