I have an X3 chipset and if you don't have a modded box, you are missing out.

Bump for a great device

Xbox - $149
Mod Chip - $120
250GB Hard Drive - $170
Controllers - $30

Asking $400

That mod chip is hardly $120. Try $30-40. That isn't even the preferred chip for most modders.

I apologize, I wasn't trying to mislead but that is what I paid for the chip and to have it installed. Perhaps an PM would have worked. Let's see, I got this back in November and all the shops I was contacting were selling this chip, but again, I should have consulted you first.

Thanks erockOZ for the bump.

Damn my buddies paid $60-$70 for their mod chips. Can one of you shoot me a PM on where to get one that cheap? I just picked up a Xbox off ebay and I'm gonna mod mine. They put 300gb harddrives in theirs. Thanks

Very true you can get a mod chip cheaper but you have to look at the install costs. I know when I tried to do mine, I fried my xbox and then paid a pro for a preinstalled xbox witn no hard drive upgrade for over 300 last november. Unless you know how to solder on small electronics, get a pro to do it. PM me with any questions.

Well, all I'm saying is that the Lite version has always been sub 59.99. And installation isn't as much as the chip is all...plus making someone pay for what you didn't want to solder is kinda lame IMO.

Does it appear I'm trying to "hijack" your thread? No, I just was talking to you about the price. I understand the modding scene as well man, starting with my Saturn...but all I'm saying is that even with pro. installation of the chip, saying it is $120 is highballing it. Nothing wrong with you selling it at that price...hell...with it being a no-fuss thing, that is a damn reasonable price if you ask me. All I'm saying is you shouldn't list prices as what you payed if it was that long ago to add up value. Things do drop in price you know...

Lowering the price again to $325, its a real good price folks. Bonus items already on the hard drive with plenty of free space still.
