I am looking to buy a new 3" APEXI downpipe. It has to fit my 2005 Evo 8 (which has ACD)

I am going with an Apexi because I went to replace my current 2.5" Apexi DP with a new Megan DP and they were different lengths. Therefore, I must stick to the Apexi DP design to fit my Apexi TBE.

How much was the length difference?

 

The Megan DP was about 2 inches shorter than the Apexi DP.

It was not an issue I expected to run into, but I guess the Apexi cat back design must be shorter and the Megan cat back design must be longer. The designs between the two companies were just different and no one else had had this happen to them LOL.

 

Do you have the length of the Apexi? I have a Cobb downpipe that has less than 200 miles on it and is in new condition I am trying to sale. I can measure to see if it will work!

 

I do not know the length of the Apexi DP, it is currently on my car. I will try to search to find the length and if you do the same and come across some information where the Cobb DP would work I would be interested. Thanks.

 

Check your pm. I sent some pictures of the length of my downpipe.

 

Got them, I am unable to measure the length of my current Apexi DP because it is on the car, but I will measure the Megan DP which will give me a reference. I will get back to you later.

Returned PMs. The Megan DP measured approximately 36.75"-37" from the middle of the bolt hole near the O2 connection side to the end of the DP where it would connect to the cat.
