No. I think these are a good size for the XIII and IX but I have a White X now so I'm planning to get a set of the same wheels in 18x9.5 +22 gunmetal.
I really think the finish, weight and strength of the Volks are worth the extra $'s.
Since there's no tax you are basically paying double (instead of triple for new) the cost for Rotas.

You guys in the midwest could really use a set of strong wheels. I was just back in Ohio/Wheeling WV visiting my family a couple weeks ago. I could've brought them with me!!

Yep, I guess I missed that!
I like the Gunmetal. I think it goes well with all colors. It adds some contrast to the Black. It also has some contrast with the black rubber on the tires so you can distinguish the wheels from the tires. I thought about using black wheels but didn't like the lack of contrast between the wheels and tires. The gunmetal actually looks pretty dark from certain angles and in the evening/night lighting.
I like it on my WW Evo since it adds some contast to the stormtrooper black/white palette.
Gunmetal is probably the most flexible color....IMHO

Also, is the extra inch of wheel worth that much to you? It seems like you could just throw these on your X and be done since you want everything else the same.

Here are a couple of pics on the Evo X.
I agree that it's a lot to spend for 1 inch wider wheel and 8mm (0.315") of offset. The combo of offset and width (0.5 +0.315) will be almost an inch further out compared to this this set up.
I wonder if my problem would be solved by just buying some 265's and calling it a day.
