Thank you.
For those who aren't sure since they haven't heard of Piper, they are a very well known and respected manufacturer in England. They make cams for many cars and competition stuff including Porsche, Lotus, etc.
They also make custom cams as well.

so i have a couple of questions for you..... i am planning on upgrading the turbo to either the vishnu stage 2 or the ams 3076/3071. will these cams still be useful? and if the cams will work, how much is the upgrade for the springs? and i figure that cam gears are needed, so wich do you suggest?

thanks in advance for your input.

These will be a great supplement to about 6krpm. If that's where you expect your best torque to be, they will work great for you. I've had an HKS 3071 on my own EVO before and it pulled good torque to about 7krpm but best torque was in the rally cam range.
The springs will be about $500 for Ferrea double springs; good to about 12000 rpm or so. If you don't think you'll be needing that much, there are some less expensive alternatives out there now.
Cam gears aren't necessary. Unlike domestic cars, they don't need to be degreed. Unlike other EVO cams, you don't need to twiddle with them to make them work right on your car. They've been heavily engineered specifically for the EVO with your type of mods.

No, that isn't true. It isn't rocket science; you simply need a good solid spring set that can handle the lift and the better ramp rates that the asymmetric cams provide. I've used Ferrea with no problem. I can't see any other springs causing an issue unless they are el-cheapo or something of that nature. Gruppe-S has a few brands that look pretty decent.
BTW, I had the race set. They are absolutely vicious. I used them with my stage 5++ head and built motor, standalone, 1200 cc./min., GT35R, etc. car. Major lope even with the AEM EMS.
