FS: NHRA/NDRA 11.99 or faster flywheel scattersheild!

Brand new www.three-speed.com flywheel scattersheild for Evo VIII. I purchased this unit for the MR to comply with the NDRA & NHRA regulations. Most test and tune tracks nowadays also make sure your car complies with these safety regulations. This flywheel scattersheild will protect your motor, hood and driver from injury in case of flywheel disintegration. I have seen first hand what an exploding flywheel can do. I went to look at a parts car DSM one time, but I could not salvage anything due to an exploded flywheel. It looked like a bomb went off under the hood, even shot the flywheel pieces out through the top of the hood.

If you are serious about sanctioned drag racing and want to be able to win money and not get disqualified for lack of proper equipment for 11.99 or faster, you need to install this scattersheild, wear a SFI Approved fire retardant jacket and have a Snell 85+ approved helment.

The issue I have with this unit is that it was made for the Evo VIII and does not fit the MR due to the larger case. There is a lot more room in the 5sp for installation. This unit is brand new and unused. They sell for $199, I will sell this for $165 shipped.

Bumpity, New in box still available. Wanna win the cash? Don't get DQ'd for lack of required safety equipment.

just an FYI, you only need a scattershield for 11.50 or faster now. Rules were revised to that at the beggining of 2005. They now also allow you to run stock seats belts, no roll cage or bar and just a helmet all the way to 11.5

Sold... I reread the rule book and it still states 11.99. NDRA and NHRA have different rule books.
