Ah so this all happened while it was installed-

i'm not familiar with evo tranny but i would guess that the oil would have to go pass the tranny seal and then the t-case seal. it's odd that two seal would go bad at the same time, unless there's only one seal that separates the tranny fluid from the t-case fluid. i'll be pulling the t-case and sending it to TRE or Shepherd soon. i just don't know if there's anything wrong with the tranny and should i send it off also. i would rather have a local shop do the tranny though. does anyone know if TurboTrix do tranny service?

And the tranny fluid was about a quart low. That’s why I think the tranny fluid leaked into the t-case and caused it to overflow and ruin the ring and pinion (maybe even the front diff).
Did you determine what damage if any was done, and after posts like thee can you hold out on shipping until you let me know what exactly happened, what was fixed....

Ahhh that happened and then you replaced it with an RS diff? haha just found that thread while cruising for the how to install thread and got nervous.

If you replaced the busted diff with thee RS then we are good to go and ship out whenever you can

a seal went bad in the t-case which cause some tranny fluid to leak into the t-case and cause the ring and pinion in the t-case to go out. it does not effect the front diff at all because the front diff shares fluid with the tranny, not the tcase (all though it sits in the t-case). i installed the front diff while i had the t-case out for rebuilt. the front lsd was not in the car when the t-case went bad. i sent my t-case to Shep to have it rebuilt and install the front lsd but shep determine that he could not rebuild the t-case. so i bought a rebuilt t-case and install the front diff myself.
