COSWORTH CNC Ported Head for Evo VIII

Here is a Cosworth CNC Ported Head for an Evolution 8. The head is bare with cam caps and hardware. The head has been clean by Cosworth and is ready for valvetrain.

I I took the head off of my 700hp Evo and sent it back to Cosworth to get check out. I was blowing head gaskets when running over 35psi of boost. When they tested it they told me the hardness tolerances were off. Meaning the aluminum was soft and that could be the reason I was loosing head gaskets. They recommended a new bare head and transfering my old valvetrain into the new head for the amount of power and boost I was making. So that's what I did and now I have the old head for sale.

The combustion chambers are also have pitting due to previous detonation.

Comes with matching cam caps and hardware

Dont know what to ask for this so I am taking best offers. I also put it on E Bay Item: 190191383527

Thanks

Then why would you even want to spend $50 on it? its not worth that much in scrap metal.

I think what he is trying to point out is that a normal evo, i.e. stock turbo, would be able to run this cylinder head with no problems.

Thats pretty much exactly what I'm saying. But dont want to come out and say it without a guarentee.

Either way its a 4 grand head that someone can make a gamble on for next to nothing

I believe it happens from being overheated repeatedly.

This head was purchased brand new from cosworth ported and assembled for $4100. I took the head off off my car and sent it back to cosworth, they just cleaned it and checked it out and sent it back to me.
