FS: Built 2.4L engine

Sold the head, short block is all that is left.
Looking to get $1800 local pickup only
Im located in Southern California

The engine was in my eclipse and has about 10k on it. Has always run a perfect tune w/ the AEM EMS, never seen more than 24psi or 7500rpms, has never been tracked or dynoed or even remotely abused.

Runs great, never leaked oil, blows perfect compression since day one. Ive always run top grade AMSOil SSO and TRO motor oil w/ OEM filters

It was built by Robert Garcia at RRE, and tuning was done mostly by Scot Gray at RRE.

THe build consisted of all the usual stuff;
4G64 2.4L short block
custom oil squirters
balance shaft removal
Align hone main bearings
bored .02 over and honed cylinders
Surfaced the deck
Wiseco custom 8:1 pistons
Eagle Rods
ALl new OEM bearings and oil pump
ALl new oem gaskets and seals
All stock EVO 8 head w/ Unorthodox Racing Cam pulleys
ARP main studs, head studs and rod bolts
Cometic MLS Headgasket

Thats the important stuff. PM or post if you have any relevent questions.
I also still have the GT35R that I was running on this engine (only 2k miles on it) that we can work into the deal.

Pics of it in my car with the custom turbo setup that I built;

Thanks for looking

Yes, its a very common setup for evo owners. Drops right in.
Faster spool, wider powerband, and 50ftlbs more torque is what you can expect.

Couple of questions:

what timing belt do you use?
will the stock cam gears work?
which water pump do you use?

Its a galant gvr4 timing belt.
No stock gears wont work, you must use at least one adjustable cam gear. Its easier if you have both.
I use the eclipse water pump, but you will use your same evo water pump.

Wow incredible setup. This is truly a beast of an engine, with even more displacement than a regular stroker. Thanks for answering my questions, I am thinking about pulling one of these blocks from the junkyard to do a build. Free bump for an awesome engine!

Hey you ****, where have you been!

Bump

This is pretty much the last chance to grab up this bad *** engine.
I have a buyer for the head (which is pretty much guaranteed), and a few people who are interested in the short block.
Id rather sell it complete. But Im about to part it.
