AMS front mount intercooler

sold = Arkitek

The AMS replacement intercooler core for your EVO VII/VIII/IX is a direct bolt on utilizing your stock piping with purpose built end tanks for the EVO VII/VIII/IX. This intercooler has over 80% more internal flow area than its stock counterpart.

We tested many intercooler cores before finding the best performing core available. The bar and plate style core is 12.4" tall, 20" wide (28" with end tanks) and 3.625" thick with over 1250 cfm flow and only 1 psi pressure drop at 650 whp! This gives a cross section flow area of 45 inches square, the largest on the market that fits without cutting the bumper and it’s only 2% smaller than the competitions 4” thick race core! The AMS Standard FMIC is race proven over and over again on our Time Attack EVO and proven to 650 whp on our dyno.

*** All AMS intercoolers are pressure tested after assembly! ***

Don't be fooled by knock-offs found on eBay that use inexpensive, inferior cores and construction. Those are cheap copies that don't offer real AMS performance and quality.

There are other "more affordable" intercoolers on the market, which start out at a 3" thick core and you are charged extra to upgrade to 3.5" or thicker when ours is 3.625" STANDARD. You can compare some of these and see that there are 4" thick cores out there which claim to be superior, flowing up to 1219 cfm. That's less air flow (and they come with a larger price tag) than our standard intercooler which flows 1250+ cfm. Then you get the pleasure of cutting away at the bumper beam.

Some things to note about the AMS EVO Intercooler:

Comes With the Black "AMS" Painted Logo
Fits EVO's VII/VIII/IX
Does not come polished; polishing is available at an extra $200 cost.
Will bolt up to your stock IC piping or any Aftermarket Pipe kit that is designed to bolt up to a stock intercooler.
EVO IX Owners Please Note:

*** If you have an EVO IX please make sure you take note of the necessary bolt removal picture at the bottom of the page. ***
