WTT 2.3L for stock short block
I'm thinking about trading my Evo in for a CTS-V but before I do I'd like to return it back to stock as much as possible. I'm going to break even on the deal so I want to keep all the aftermarket stuff.
I have a running 2.3L with Eagle rods and Wiseco pistons 9.0:1, ACL Race bearings, and a balance shaft removal kit installed. It runs and drives but there is a downside. The balance shaft stub came loose at high RPMS about 2 months ago. It shot up, bent a rod and broke the tips off 2 of the oil squirters.
I replaced the rod, and shaft but the #1 piston and cylinder took a beating from the debris getting on the cylinder walls. I'm going to do a compression test this weekend and I'll post up the #'s for anyone who wants them. As I said it runs well but I personally would bore it .020 over throw new pistons in and balance it. The 4G64 bearing surfaces are flawless, as are the rest of the rods and pistons. There's less than 3K miles on the block. I barely drive the car. I'm looking to do a straight up trade for a stock short block (oil pump installed would be nice if possible). Prefer local, but I'd consider shipping it for extra. It should be under $100 for a box and UPS ground shipping. Serious inquiries only please.

It can be used. Post 10 in this thread explains it better. It's not an expensive job and any machine shop can do it easily enough. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-end-same.html
