I know a lot of people end up with that thinking (including me) but don't buy the BBK for the wrong reason (it's proving to be a good turbo).......be sure to get the right turbo for your set-up and ultimate goal

 

BBK is still not a red!they shouldnt even be compared.

actually if you look at all the dyno data from everyone with a red there arent many people using this turbo to its full potencial most that ive seen are in the low 400whp range and that easily done with a bbk or fpGeen but thats just my .02 cents

 

There's too much demand for the FP Red...The amount of money you spend to get a RED and you add $1200 more...you can get a .HTA35R, I am tired and sick of waiting for the FP Red...am doing my bottom end and Buschur Race head and gettn me .HTA35R and am sure its guna be hella fun daily driver !!!

although you may be right if you have a built buschur motor the red really shines if im not mistaked buschur made aroung 600whp with the red and there motor and tune

 

Ordered a Red in middle of February......still waiting. Seriously about to put the car back together on the stock turbo...warm weather and seeing others enjoying their rides......FP please send my huffer.

 

the red is a beast turbo so it should not be compared to a bbk full i mean personally from the price of the red to the 35r having the ability to make 600 if you want is cool. you can spend that 3500 and up price to start at 550 hp or you can get a red for 2000 then take the remaining 1500 and put it torwards a fully built engine. come up with another 1500 and you can buy a built block. now i have a build bottom and a red vs 35r i still have to come up with 3000 more after i got the turbo. I do understand the 35r as well can make way more power but i think 600 hp is plenty but again there are those that lust for more more more. The red might not be for them.
