When I contacted GSC before I bought these, they said nothing needed to be changed unless you were going to be taking your car up 7800-8000 RPM everyday.

No, these were available before any of the S series cans were available. The intake and exhaust cams are both 280

I wish I could tell you the exact difference and what they will do but the best info would be if you e-mail or call gsc and ask them. All I know is that the S1's would be better for a smaller turbo such as stock, the 280's are more aggressive and closer to the S2's in performance. They make huge difference when you have a big turbo! When I had a 35R there was a very significant power gain from the cams! Much more than on my stock turbo. I tried stock cams and the 280's on both the 35r and the stock turbo.
