I sold my Evo IX so I'm clearing out all of the odds and ends that were left behind.

Rear differential. Taken out of a low mileage wreck and stored as a spare. Asking $450 shipped.

 

Think this is a evo 8, all evo 9 Rear diffs will save Evo 9 on the sticker.

Actually, they're not. The gear ratio is slightly different. Not so much that anyone would be able to tell, so it's basically splitting hairs.

Does this differential have a hydraulic lsd or a mechanical lsd

 

I went ahead and sent you money through Paypal since this is a really good deal.

However, I did not get a reply from you whether this differential is mechanical or hydraulic type.
My car can only use the mechanical type .

I rechecked with my mechanic, (I am a novice, forgive me), and he told me it would not work from an Evo 9, but it would from a Evo 8.

Please tell me the verdict.

 

The rear differential is always mechanical. The "hydraulic" unit on the US Evo is the transfer case.

So, yes, this works with your car. I'll ship later this week.
