they shouldnt be as this does not look like the standard rebuild. Seller should send the turbo in and have fp estimate the damage. ITS FREE TO HAVE FP LOOK AT THE TURBO. Maybe then an honest selling price can be determined

This is why I refuse to by a FP turbo. I know they are good and make alot of power, but I have heard way to many horror stories on these things failing.

I actually haven't heard anything about them failing. Only reason I want one is so I dont have to switch manifold and o2 housing....

They way that I look at it. Is for this price 700 plus worst case scenario 700 from FP = 1400. That would basically be a brand new turbo. Wouldnt have to wait the standard 3 month or so wait to get it from FP. I wasnt trying to rip anyone off.... I have a new turbo wanted someone to be able to get a good deal on a turbo and have some fun. Im not putting anymore money into this turbo. I have decided to cut my losses.

when compressor wheel hits housing that hard it bends turbine shaft. this turbo will be far more than 700 to rebuild. when shaft is bent the bearings can damage the center housing beyond repair. compressor cover may even have too much material removed.. only thing usable for sure it the turbine housing if the divider is not cracked. and there are no pics of that.
