I also talked to Brian and sent him pictures awhile ago n can confirm he says the only thing can may b reused is the hotside once its ok. He said it may need a new CHRA and will need a compressor housing, worst case scenario he said $1000.00 usd.

But i also understand the seller's point of view on it, he doesn't want to lose out big time because who ever buys it will have a new jb black for less than the price of them now.

Cheers.

Thanks for the positive reply. Some people have been going on and on.... I am the one that is losing... I was doing this out of good faith and hoping to help out someone else and I get slaughtered for it...

As I stated before im not trying to sell this to rip someone off hence the title. As i stated and you did also worst case scenario 1000 for fix + 500 for the turbo = 1500 for a brand new FP black. Not that bad..... I sometimes hate even browsing this site because of things like this. If you do not like it dont buy it....

Sucks your turbo went out....

BUT why get all upset on anyone for doing their due diligence figuring out if this 'BAD' turbo is indeed repairable or not. I sure as hell wouldn't simply take your word for it...and I say this respectfully and I would say this of anyone selling a BAD turbo without knowing if it is worth a paperweight or the asking price.

People asked you to send it to FP. You refused. You could have contact FP, like someone else already did, and forward the pics you posted for a professional opinion. You instead got all defensive and kept quoting your thread title. Not surprised you 'hate' browsing threads on EvoM with this reaction to members genuine interest in your For Sale thread...

Looks like two members already did your homework and determined this turbo is not repairable.

I did my "due diligence"

I declined to send it back otherwise I would have kept it. I clearly said that I do not want to send it in because I dont want to spend anymore money on it. I wanna be done with this turbo and situation. I have stated that I did talk with Brian and which I have.... You have no clue what you are talking about you are assuming... which im sure your good at. Your so called geniune interest is stricingly misleading. Btw only one person said anything about it being "destroyed" the other said he spoke with them and they told him 1000 worst case scenario.

So.... i will leave it at that.

No, No, the turbo is repairable as Brian told me all turbos can be repaired its just how much damage they have.

Worst case is that the only thing that can b used is the hotside housing once it isn't cracked and most likely it isn't. Which then means it needs a new CHRA n compressor housing which will put the total repair at $1000.00 usd.

Cheers.

upgrade cost on website is 1150. that assumes hotside and center housing are usable. both of which are liekely not usable.
