AMS spec Oliver rods from 2.3/low miles
AMS spec Oliver rods from 2.3/low miles
these are stock length 150mm Oliver I-Beam rods.they were a $450 upgrade from AMS when purchasing the 2.3 stroker kit.they are very strong(1000+hp) and still somewhat light.7,500 or less.
they come with ARP 2000 fastners made for Oliver.
$450 shipped and paypaled.
make an offer if the price is too high.i know they cost $800+ new.
also AMS spec pistons are still attached,i have no way to get them off.a couple of the pistons have damage though, but the rods are good to go.

they measure almost 85mm at the skirt,so i guess they are stock.
the reason i can't separate the pistons from the rod for those that asked is that i don't know how.i figured it would take a special tool to get them off.if someone wants to tell me how to do it with basic tolls, then yes i can separate.

yes stock length,150mm.they were in a 2.3 that was driven for less than 7,500 miles.it's an $800 set of rods.
you can see in the pic that the bearings are all still good.all the rods look like the one in the pic.

just did some more inspecting on these rods.all bearings are 100% full and intact, but one bearing has some score marks in it.the mark is not deep and certainly doesn't go through to the rod. it is maybe a couple thousandths deep into the bearing.
OK,here are some detailed pics without the bearings, again there is no damage to these.only one bearing had a tiny scratch in it.it was not a deep scratch at all, maybe .005" deep and the bearings are probably .060" so obviously it didn't get anywhere close to going through.i hope that wasn't too confusing for some.basically the rods are fine and they were only used for 7,000 miles.the problem with the motor was in the piston rings not the bearings.
i had them sold for $375 to a guy that flaked on me,and while i was waiting payment turned away 2 other guys that wanted to buy them.
i will not hold these again.first guy to send me $375 by paypal gets the rods.that's it.if you get these rods and a machine shop tells you they are no good, you can return for a full refund.no refunds for buyer's remorse or buying rods that are the wrong size.these rods are from AMS and were made for a 2.3L stroker.
paypal is masonh66@yahoo.com.1st $375 gets them.i know 3-4 guys are interested and actually were waiting for the buyer to back out and i know no other way to make it fair besides this.
here they are in order 1-4:
