why does it say for evo 8-9 9 plugs r complete different then 8 plugs.. will this work for a 8 or a 9??

Like i said fits in Evo 8-9. This is the answer i got by Sparktech

Hi Roberto,
A NonCdi for an evo 9 will fit an evo 8 but not the other way around. The evo 9's valve cover has a different shape in the area the cop sits. Other than that it will work fine.

evo 8 and 9 plugs are no different
you are misinformed

the only difference is the cut outs needed for the plate on a 9 that aren't needed for an 8

Actually the spark plugs are different between an VIII and IX but that doesnt effect what COP is needed.

The only different in the COP between an VIII and IX is that an IX needs additional notching in the plate due to the difference in shape of the valve cover on an IX. With that being said, a COP such as the one that's for sale here fits both an VIII and an IX.

If it didnt have the notching it would only fit an VIII but that is not the case here. Hope this helps to clear up some confusion
