Item Description: Up for sale is a PTE 6262 BB T3. The turbo does have some shaft play and smokes when in boost. IT WILL NEED TO BE REBUILT IN ORDER TO NOT SMOKE AND OPERATE CORRECTLY.
It spooled up nicely but smoked when I shifted in a little boost. I stopped driving the car and will be pulling the turbo off hopefully this weekend.
I would rebuild it and put it in my car but I feel like the 6262 is a too big of a turbo for my needs and I daily my car, so I don't need this turbo.

Miles on turbo?

 

Tell you the truth couldn't tell you. Bought the vehicle with the turbo on there. Got told by the previous customer that it was brand new with 1500 miles when I purchased. I put roughly 2500 miles on it sense i purchased.

 

Did you look into what the rebuild would cost? I can get an 'open box' [DBB] CEA6262 for $850, so $500 + shipping seems a bit on the steep side of things. Does this have the billet compressor wheel?

 

I have not. I did a little research and found some that sold for 7-800 that needed rebuild. And yess it does have the billet compressor wheel.

 

I vouch for Harum. He just got his motor built at Boostin and they found out his turbo seals are bad. Who ever buys it is getting a good deal but like OP said, it needs to be sent in and rebuilt
