I had it sent to AEM, spent the $75 (standard inspection fee) + $30 (shipping both ways) to ensure that the EMS was completely functional for the next owner.
AEM's respones:
"Fully tested the EMS mainboard and adapter board hardware and software functionality and found the EMS to be fully functional."
