Hi I'm selling the turbo from my Evo 9 MR, the turbo was removed when my car had under 35k miles a long time ago, I normally keep all my stock parts for all my cars but she blew up recently and I need all the money I can get to get her back on the road. This turbo has zero shaft play and has been stored in a box in my garage since its been taken off, the turbo has also never seem higher than stock boost levels, I am asking 450 OBO.

That is vey clearly an 8 turbo, and it's not even an MR turbo. The compressor cover says 9.8T on it...

 

So what your saying is somebody swapped the turbo on my car? my car is an 06 wicked white MR, i am the second owner, I've had it for years, it was bone stock when i bought it.

It's simple. Just post a close up pic of the stamping on the cover. No need to fight.

Anyone who knows, knows. I zoomed in on the picture before I commented as well, it says 9.8T on the compressor stamp.

 

it does say 9.8T, oh well..whats this turbo worth then? shoot me offers I don't need it regardless

 

They're basically worth what someone will pay, $200-$250 shipped max with all lines etc

 

It's not a bad turbo if there is no play in the cartridge. I ran 11.9 with it in my full-weight EvoVIII. Only if you really max out the EvoIX turbo then you may see a few HP more. One definitely will not feel it on butt-dyno. If I were to rebuild on a budget there is no question I'll use it over an XI if there is that much of a price difference. GLWS!
