Carbonetics triple disc clutch

This is a used Carbonetics triple disc clutch. It has NEVER been launched on and has only seen street duty. It was installed when I put my car back together after a 3-year hiatus and used it while I breaking in the engine, T/F case, and rear end that were all freshly gone through. I measured the three discs and towards the root of the disc there is a virgin area that I measured at .1540" and the three discs measured on the running surface of .1537" (outer), .1539" (middle), and .1539" (inner). That is as close to new as you can get while still being a used unit.

Included is what you see in the picture and it was completely and properly broken in, so it is ready to go. It has never had any foreign fluid on the discs and is in perfect shape, just needs a home. Asking $1200 including shipping in the US. Outside the US, we can figure something out.

I do have multiple pictures to show every disc. I have only posted a couple to represent what it is. If you are seriously interested, please PM me and I can send more pictures.

As far as how it ran? For me it is a representation of what most clutches should behave like. For a triple disc unit that holds a ton of torque, it drives much more like a stock clutch than a triple disc. You can modulate it, has a great pedal feel, and is quiet all the time except when you decelerate as it is a solid hub clutch (plus I have urethane motor mounts which add to the sound). The other advantage compared to other twins and triples is that it has a unitized center hub--- this means that it engages to the shaft over a wider area versus individual discs. I remember seeing an article by Jon @ TRE about the thinner individual hubs hurting the input shaft. I have had ACT, Exedy dual & triples, Quarter master, Clutch Master, and others along the way--- they all had their merits, but the Carbonetics for me was just that much better top to bottom. Plus it does change it to a push style and does not use a hydraulic TOB which I did have at one point with another clutch and went through three in less than 1-year as the seals failed.

So why sell it.....I have changed the car dramatically after a lot of thought and with that, the car became way over clutched. Max power is now under 400hp and I simply do not need that much clutch. I have already switched to a Exedy Stage 2 as that is more inline with the power it now produces.

This clutch is still looking for a new home. If you're looking at a Exedy double/ triple, OS Giken, or any other multi-plate clutch--- please PM me as this is a great unit and besides being dusty, is like new.
