Looking for a test pipe. Prefer these brands, but I'm open to other options.

I'm also toying with the idea of going with a HFC.

 

I might have a Greddy...it came with my Ti-C exhaust...would that work? Let me know.

 

Didn't the Ti-C come with a downpipe / testpipe combo? A few years ago I actually bought what was I though the downpipe / testpipe combo from the Ti-C turboback. I actually still have it but went with the Megan Racing DP because I want to be able to easily switch back to a cat if I have to...

I may just go with new... Was trying to save some money because I feel like which ever option I go with I'm going to end switching to the opposite...

I'd like the test pipe for the gains but I'm afraid that I'll be harassed by the police and I'll end up waking up my neighbor when I start car up in the morning.

Would your catted test pipe be less loud than your test pipe? What's the cell rating?

 

Honestly I cant tell the difference and the performance gain is worth it to me, the resonated and HFC sound about the same and if you have a good muffler then your tespipe will not be a problem

 

I have a Greddy Ti catback. Is it considered a "good muffler". It seems like people consider it one of the loudest exhausts on the market for the evo. I honestly don't think it's too loud, I just don't want to make it too much louder. The real problem is morning start-up. My garage faces my neighbors house. They are retired and I don't want to annoy them too much

 

We use a 200 cell cat. The catted version will be quieter. Its worth about 15 WHP to go with the test pipe over the HFC though.

 

If you want mine boss 50.00 to your door and I can have it out tomorrow. Its not much investment to see if it works for you. It was taken off my car when I changed exhaust systems and had an extra testpipe.
