Turbo looks like a evo 8 at first glance.... have more pictures of the numbers stamped on the coldside?

 

I have a 9.8 turbine housing paper weight on my desk right now, it doesn't have the same markings as the one pictured.

 

05 have 10.5 hotsides.

That is most deff a Evo 8 compressor housing. Evo 9 comp housing has space between the snail and the compressor inlet. Evo 8 does not. Evo 9 has outlet further away from compressor inlet as well. Evo 9 comp housing has a large N and rectangle casting by one of the mounts. Evo 8 has a small N and circle cast at the small end of the snail.

The OP needs to update his post as that is not a Evo 9 turbo.

oh yah for sure its a 10.5 evo 8, the one you have pictured has the same markings on the turbine housing.

Nope, that is a Evo 8 Compressor housing. I literally just posted proof and facts.

The 2005 Evo 8 turbo came with a 10.5 exhaust housing.

 

nope, just because it says 10.5 does not mean its an evo 9 turbo. $5000 says you are missing a C

Sorry but this is 9.8 Comp housing and CHRA from Evo 8 until mid 2005.

If the comp hsg says 10.5, it is from "Evo 8.5" from Mid 2005-2006 before Evo 9.

Evo 8.5 Means,
Compressor Housing and CHRA are from Evo 8
Turbine Wheel and housing are from Evo 9

Turbo is a evo 8 10.5T, I always thought evo 9 were the only ones with a 10.5t and since the car I parted out was a 9 . Now it's all cleared up . For all the people that think that I was trying to screw anyone that's not the case look at my feedback here have never screwed anyone .
