I would like to know how you guys feel about the boost gauges on ebay. They are pretty easy on the wallet lol. Thats what caught my eye. Does anybody have any experience with them? I would like to buy one but dont want to waste my money if they arent worth it. So lets hear it......

I personally don't like buying anything off EBay. Since everything I buy off there is made from cheap material that's just going to break over time or just stop working. I would recomend looking around the for sale section and see of anyone has some stuff for sale. It's the cheapest and best way to buy great name brand parts for penny pinchers like my self that's just my .02

my opinion..one of the worst things to cheap out on mods is gauges. please lol no ebay if you want a good boost gauge dont buy anything less than $150 the last thing you want is false readings/gauge crapping out on you and ive heard so many stories of it happening with cheap gauges try going apexi, defi, aem, megans okay but there are better...when it comes to boost an electrical one is best IMO

99% of the time you get what you pay for, with the exception of DEFI which are inaccurate overpriced JDM gauges.

This is the kind of info i was looking for! Thanks guys! I will no longer be thinking about wasting my money on something that doesnt give accurate readings and doesnt last. Next option is to see if my dad will let me "steal" the one out of his rally car. Lol why not, it hasnt been driven in over a year lol.

Why hate on defi? They're name goes a lot further than yours in this forum and all over the world. I have had nothing but great experiences with them and they look tasteful. as for the readings. I have never heard people complaining about inaccurate readings..please some proof before allegations? Got a link?

That's funny. I've read quite a few posts on EvoM about people having issues with them, it has nothing to do with my "name" on this forum. A quick google search turns up these threads:

Buy whatever you want, but at that price I expect perfection.

hm...interesting. it seems tho that they mostly speak about the defi d series gauges, never the less im very surprised tol see all those complaints but like any product im sure there is criticism on ever manufacturer every once in awhile. its impossible to satisfy ever single customer.

meh, it depends on what your buying. I use eBay all the time to by legit OEM parts and other products. Of course, I also cross shop with other outlets and sources at the time of purchase to ensure I'm getting the best deal available.

For aftermarket stuff, I make sure I can verify the manufacturer of the product before I buy. Though, most of the time, I usually end up going straight to the source for stuff like that, because eBay has become worse than AutoZone with its crappy of the crappiest stick on mods, making it difficult to find what i really want sometimes.
